Electrical Designer (Industrial) - Burlington

          Our Industrial and Infrastructure division is growing in Canada, and we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Designer to join the Team at our Burlington Office

          About the role:

          • Provide CAD drafting and 3D modelling services to design team;
          • Responsible for drafting and 3D modelling electrical systems for energy, building and industrial projects;
          • Ability to work as part of a team, applying skills to both new construction and renovation projects for drafting of power distribution, lighting and communication systems;
          • Work under the direction of Electrical Engineers to develop working drawings from conceptual design to detailed construction document packages for submission;
          • Ability to create electrical design of single line diagrams, panel schedules, schematics and wiring, equipment layout and installation, grounding, lighting, and cable tray layout and installation details.
          • Ability to create and maintain cable schedule and material take offs;
          • Apply, maintain and enforce CAD standards;
          • Ensure proper documentation of all work, products, and relevant activities;
          • Ability to perform site visit and generate site visit reports;
          • Provide on-site construction supports as required.

          About you:

          • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college
          • 10 - 15 years’ experience of drafting electrical, controls and instrumentation deliverables in an engineering environment
          • Experience working within an EPCM environment is preferred
          • Experience in electrical projects associated with power or other heavy industries is preferred
          • Able to work within defined schedules and deadlines
          • Familiar with construction safety standards and training
          • Familiar with the OESC and CSA Standards
          • Familiar with electrical equipment and materials
          • A strong team player with the ability to work independently
          • Strong communication, analytical and time management skills
          • Ability to quickly absorb and use company-specific techniques, standards and procedures of AutoCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel skills
          • Familiar with 3D modelling software such as Autodesk Plant 3D and Revit

          Salary range: 85K - 115K
