We are seeking a Manager, Technical Services to support the delivery of high-quality study and project outcomes across our mining and mineral processing portfolio. This role bridges strategy and execution, working closely with the Director, Technical Services, Process Manager, Study Managers and Process Leads.

The Manager will take ownership of key technical reviews, stage-gate processes, and project support activities while contributing to client engagement and continuous improvement across technical services.

About the role

The scope of this role encompasses leadership across the following key areas.

Technical Oversight & Reviews

  • Lead and conduct reviews and check-ins for studies, Mine to Mill assessments, metallurgical testwork programs and recovery modelling
  • Perform reviews, ensuring alignment with study assumptions and design criteria
  • Support and contribute to financial model reviews and business case assessments
  • Identify best business case for each project and any potential strategic Trade Off Studies
  • Assist with CAPEX stage gate reviews in collaboration with Director, TS
  • Conduct cover-to-cover technical report reviews
  • Provide quality assurance across technical deliverables and study documentation
  • Assist in driving responsiveness to changes that impact capital allocation, expansion, or deferral strategies

Stage-Gate & Project Governance 

  • Own and drive Mine-to-Mill stage gate reviews
  • Support Process stage gate reviews in collaboration with the Process Manager
  • Participate in key stage gate reviews and related decision-making support
  • Ensure timely and consistent governance across study phases
  • Track alignment of metallurgical results, mine plans, and process design assumptions

Project, Studies & Operational Support

  • Participate in biweekly project check-ins and internal governance meetings
  • Provide technical troubleshooting across active projects
  • Offer day-to-day guidance and support to Study Managers and Process Leads
  • Support the integration of updated mine plans, testwork, and cost inputs into studies

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, with a strong background in mining & metals or related industries.
  • Strong experience in metallurgical processing, technical services, or study delivery
  • Proven ability to review and challenge technical work across multiple disciplines
  • Experience supporting feasibility studies, PEAs, or similar project stages
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment

Salary Range: $160,000 - $230,000 annually

Salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
