We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Project Controls - Trend & Change Coordinator to be based in the Tucson office. If you’re the right person for the job, we are open to discussing you being located in another office location.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Regional Director, Project Controls, you will act as the primary point of contact for project change management, ensuring all aspects of change management are effectively managed and communicated to both internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients.
  • Maintain the project trend and change log, ensuring entries are complete, current, and properly categorized (scope, cost, schedule, or risk).
  • Coordinate the review and approval workflow for change requests and trends, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate regular trend and change review meetings with project leadership and control stakeholders.
  • Assist in impact assessments of trends and changes on project cost, schedule, and contingency.
  • Ensure traceability of all change origins through scope baseline, budget, contract changes, and risk adjustments.
  • Work with cost and planning teams to integrate approved changes into forecasts, baseline revisions, and performance reports.
  • Support preparation of change control reports and dashboards for internal governance and external client reporting.
  • Support internal project excellence and operations reviews by preparing relevant analytics and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Ausenco's change management procedures and governance requirements.
  • Interface with document control and contract administration to ensure supporting documentation is filed and accessible.
  • Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement efforts related to change control.
  • Perform other project controls-related tasks and duties as assigned.

About you

  • Business or Technical background with diploma / degree in Business or engineering or project management.
  • 10+ years’ experience in in project controls, change management, or cost engineering on heavy industrial and mining, on studies and/or EPCM projects.
  • Good knowledge of:
    • Hexagon PPM Software (Ecosys, SDx, SMAT)
    • Oracle E-Business
  • Working Knowledge of Scheduling Software – Primavera P6 & MS Project is an asset.
  • Strong and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI is an asset.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • As this position requires significant amount of cooperation with other individuals excellent interpersonal and team playing skills are essential for success. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good commercial acumen and with experience of interfacing with clients.
