Ausenco is a fast-growing company with big ideas. We redefine what’s possible in some of the world’s most complex projects and toughest environments. Delivering innovative, value-add consulting, project delivery, asset operations and maintenance solutions is what we do. From 21 offices in 10 countries, with projects in over 80 locations worldwide, we create sustainable outcomes for our people, clients, and communities.

Based in our Perth CBD office, this exciting role will join an energised global proposals team, collaborating with colleagues across continents to support our growing Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. As Proposals Specialist MENA, you’ll play a key role in supporting regional leaders, particularly our lead office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; by turning complex engineering strategies into clear, compliant and compelling submissions that showcase Ausenco’s commitment to ingenious solutions and outstanding results for our clients.

This role is aligned to the MENA region, so you can expect regular collaboration and engagement across time zones, including frequent mid-afternoon meetings (WA time) to accommodate MENA working hours and early morning meetings to liaise with North America as required.

You will benefit from strong mentorship and guidance from the APAC Proposals Leader, supporting your growth and development in a global environment.

About the role

Reporting to the Proposals Manager & Lead (APAC/Africa), you will provide coordination and bid writing expertise to manage the full spectrum of our pursuit lifecycle, with a focus on MENA opportunities.

Your focus will be to:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end development of clear, compliant, competitive and compelling proposals, RFIs, pre-qualifications and EOIs.
  • Plan and direct aspects of the proposal process, from analysing client requests to driving response plans, running kick-off meetings and coordinating technical reviews.
  • Work closely with business development and operations teams to craft win plans, define strong value propositions and write executive summaries aligned to MENA pursuits.
  • Collaborate across internal teams, global business lines and external partners to deliver competitive proposals.
  • Work with technical teams to define response requirements and establish realistic proposal schedules.
  • Proofread and edit technical and non‑technical content to ensure clarity, accuracy, consistency and impact.
  • Prepare written and graphical elements for proposals, qualifications and presentations.
  • Gather company information, conduct internal and external research and provide market insights to strengthen submissions.
  • Contribute to proposal debriefs, capturing lessons learned to improve future performance.
  • Build and maintain sales collateral including project descriptions, capability statements and testimonials.
  • Manage knowledge databases to support both local and global team performance.

About you

  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, globally connected environment, with flexibility to align work hours to support MENA collaboration.
  • Collaborative Spirit: Strong ability to manage multiple priorities while working across diverse, international teams.
  • Prioritisation & Delivery: Confidently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and competing demands.
  • Strategic Influencer: Proven ability to shape pursuit strategies and influence outcomes.
  • Experience: 5+ years coordinating multi-stakeholder bids in engineering, resources, mining, oil & gas, industrial engineering or technical services.
  • Precision & Detail: Exceptional writing, editing and MS Office skills.
  • Technical Interpretation Skills: Ability to distil complex technical information into clear, client-focused messaging.

Highly regarded (but not essential):

  • Previous experience supporting proposals in the Middle East, Africa or broader MENA region
  • Exposure to sectors such as Mining, Resources, Oil & Gas and Industrial Engineering
  • Language skills, particularly Arabic and/or French
