We are seeking a Senior Study Manager to join us in Perth, Western Australia.

As Ausenco's WA & Africa business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced studies leader to join our Perth team and play a key role in delivering some of the mining industry's most significant and technically complex projects. Supporting a business of approximately 250 professionals, you will lead multidisciplinary study teams across a diverse portfolio of resource projects spanning Australia and Africa.

Working closely with clients, technical specialists and project teams, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies across a wide range of commodities including rare earths, lithium, copper, uranium, graphite, cobalt, platinum group metals, gold and other critical minerals. About the role

  • Lead and manage the delivery of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for mining and mineral processing projects.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to achieve study objectives, schedule commitments and commercial targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships and ensuring successful project outcomes.
  • Manage study scope, budgets, schedules, risk and stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with technical specialists across process, metallurgy, mechanical, infrastructure and project delivery disciplines.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to engineers and study team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and technical excellence.
  • Support business development initiatives through client engagement, proposal development and identification of future opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing growth of Ausenco's WA & Africa business.

About you

  • 10-15 years of industry experience gained within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies within the resources sector.
  • Background in Metallurgical Engineering (preferred), Process Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience as a Study Manager, Engineering Manager, Senior Project Engineer or similar leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of mining and mineral processing projects across a range of commodities.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex project stakeholders.
  • Well-developed commercial, project management and client relationship management skills.
  • Client-side project exposure is highly regarded; however hands-on consulting studies experience is essential.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
