Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Project Director to join our Project Execution team. Initially this role will be based from our Brisbane office, with the intention for the position to transition to a site-based rotation in approx. Q1 2026. 

About the role 

  • Demonstrate full commitment to all health and safety matters and provides safety leadership to the site project team. 
  • Manages scope, cost and schedule for the defined area of responsibility, applying analytical skills to forecast trends, ensuring change management is applied. 

  • Oversee, motivate and monitor the performance of the team, ensuring quality and timeliness of assignments and roles, and addresses any performance gaps. 
 
  • Apply knowledge of all aspects of a project (engineering, procurement, quality control, etc.) to oversee the successful execution of the project plan and provide on-site construction support. 

  • Ensure project design deliverables and design quantities are tracked and analyzed. 
 
 
 
  • Manage customer representatives (established relationship) and other significant stakeholders. 

  • Manage execution, coordination, and implements regular reviews/controls to track project progress and identifies potential risks or new risks as the project progresses and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans. 

About you 

  • Tertiary engineering degree in the relevant discipline 
 
  • Eligible for Certified Practicing Project Manager (CPPM) certification or equivalent. 
  • Extensive experience, including relevant years of supervisory, and/or technical experience; EPCM project experience in a relevant field. 

  • Experience on EPCM projects in the execution phase, from the commencement of detailed engineering, coordination of procurement activities and management of construction contracts.  

  • Experience in management of significant value purchase orders and contracts for NPI and SMPEI project execution, including package formation, tender evaluation and award, contract administration and management of contractor reports, claims and issues resolution through to contract completion and closeout. 

  • Technical, practical and leadership experience in the relevant discipline and proven experience in package management on similar size projects, with associated commercial and contractual experience. 

  • Efficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Can organize information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
