Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Environmental Engineer, Intermediate to join our Consulting  Business line in the in Belo Horizonte office.

About the role:

Act as an Intermediate Environmental Engineer in engineering consulting projects, with a primary focus on the mining sector, including but not limited to:

  • Experience in environmental projects applied to mining operations;

  • Background in engineering consulting and EPCM projects;

  • Interface and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams (geotechnical, water resources, and civil engineering);

  • Experience in the preparation of Mine Closure Plans, including post-closure, decommissioning, and rehabilitation of degraded areas;

  • Ability to integrate environmental requirements into the development of engineering projects;

  • Preparation and review of environmental technical reports, including:

    • Environmental Licensing documentation,

    • Environmental studies,

    • EIA/RIMA,

    • Project characterization reports,

    • Compliance with permit conditions and legal requirements;

  • Knowledge of international sustainability standards;

  • Experience in field activities, including environmental monitoring campaigns, inspections, and audits;

  • Interest in project management activities;

  • Technical interaction with clients, supporting the consolidation of information for national and international projects.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related engineering field;

  • Active professional registration with the engineering council (CREA or equivalent);

  • Professional experience in the environmental field applied to mining projects, preferably within an engineering consulting environment;

  • Strong professional profile with good communication skills, organization, ability to work in team settings, and effective client relationship skills;

  • Availability to work on multidisciplinary projects and, occasionally, field activities;

  • Solid knowledge of technical environmental routines within engineering consulting;

  • Proven experience in:

    • Environmental licensing processes;

    • Environmental studies applied to engineering projects for mining;

    • Mine closure and decommissioning;

    • Environmental management and sustainability;

  • English proficiency.
