Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Sr Study Manager (Minerals & Metals) to join the Vancouver office.

 About the role

As a Senior Study Manager you manage the early, initiation, planning, conceptual phases of a project in the mining resources sector. Study Managers support our overall business development efforts for enhancing our regional presence as a leader in Minerals and Metals while leveraging off our extensive global process engineering experience and expertise. Duties include: 

  • Managing the overall execution of PEA and PFS level studies, scoping studies, and technical updates while ensuring safety, quality, timelines, and fit for purpose.
  • Assisting in establishing project strategy and monitoring critical path schedules and deliverables.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with management, clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinating multi-discipline engineering efforts for timely preparation, evaluation, and delivery of project deliverables
  • Ensuring that study and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated to key stakeholders.
  • Monitoring project cost, progress and schedule reports and develop and execute action plans to correct.
  • Managing the development of project capex models and financial models to support client projects.
  • Leading the delivery of regulatory documentation such as NI 43-101 reporting
  • Contributing to the ongoing development of the Studies Team to deliver best practice solutions through the application of knowledge of industry developments and experience of past trends or different situations.

About you

  • Relevant experience in the mining and metals, oil and gas, industrial, energy and/or utilities industries. 
  • 4-year Engineering degree or related technical degree or diploma
  • 12+ years of previous experience working on a client or Owner’s team or previous experience in development, delivery of EPC / EPCM projects, or previous experience in operations of existing mining facilities is an asset
  • Experience with leading Feasibility and FEED studies
  • Previous experience as a Study Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, Engineering Manager, or Lead Discipline Engineer in the Mining & Metals industry is an asset.
  • Demonstrated leadership, client relationship and management skills
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Salary range: $180,000 - $210,000 annually 

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
