We are seeking a Study Managers to join us in our South Bank, Brisbane Global HQ.

About the role

As a Study Manager, you will:

• Manage and foster existing client relationships to maximise business opportunities for Ausenco.
• Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals and thorough market research.
• Develop and maintain a strong opportunity pipeline within the base metals, gold and minerals mining sectors.
• Manage and coordinate Concept, Pre-Feasibility, Feasibility and Definitive Feasibility Studies (DFS) across projects of varying scale, risk profile and technical complexity, ensuring alignment with project objectives, scope, schedule and budget
  • Lead the end-to-end study lifecycle, from early concept development through DFS delivery, including scope definition, study execution planning, governance, and close-out.
  • Integrate inputs from multidisciplinary technical teams (engineering, geology, mining, processing, infrastructure and environment) to produce robust, decision-ready study outputs.
  • Develop and manage study execution plans, schedules and cost estimates appropriate to the maturity level of each study phase.
• Ensure consistent high quality study outputs by effectively planning, coordinating and managing resources, technical quality and progress.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders and professional colleagues.
• Bring together technical knowledge and commercial concepts to formulate effective business cases.
• Ensure full compliance with Ausenco’s corporate policies, including Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements.

About you

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• 10+ years’ experience in the mining industry with strong exposure to base metals, gold and minerals processing.
• A process engineering qualification (Chemical, Metallurgical, Extractive etc…) preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration (desirable).
• Extensive experience in the development, delivery and operation of mining or mineral processing studies and projects.
• Previous experience as a Study Manager, Area Manager, Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer on multiple studies or projects.
• An established network within the base metals and minerals market (highly advantageous).
• Excellent written, technical and oral communication skills.
• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Experience with JORC code and NI 43-101 reports (an asset).
• Willingness to travel as required.
