Contracts Manager

Our team is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join our Project Execution team.  Initially based in our Perth Office, this role will later transition to an international project site on a rotational basis at approximately September 2025. 

About the role

  • Manage the project head contract including commercial review, and negotiations.  
  • Manage the overall administration of subcontract packages, including their review, negotiation, and finalization. 
  • Establish and setup project procurement and contract packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and organisational standards.
  • Coordinate and expedite project procurement and contracts package market engagements and quotation requests. 
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and the achievement of project objectives. 
  • Review, negotiate, and administer contracts, ensuring all terms are favourable and aligned with project goals. 
  • Manage the implementation of new Contract processes and system upgrades  
  • Ensure that Contracts policies, plans, systems and procedures provide cost-effective outcomes for project.
  • Provide expert assistance to the Project Director in managing complex head contract and major subcontract requirements including claims and extensions of time 
  • Communicate and coordinate with Project Director to ensure the best possible value in relation to Contracts requirements of projects.  

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or related field  
  • Minimum 15 years plus experience in contracts management in a construction environment within the resources or energy sector 
  • Strong commercial acumen with ideally FIDIC qualifications 
  • Strong policy, procedure, workflow and systems skills. 
  • Ability to present information in a clear and concise format 
  • Ability to navigate around difficult situations and time frames to achieve desired results. 
  • Advanced Project management skills
