We are seeking a Cost Controller to join us, in Brisbane.

 

Due to continued success, we are seeking a Cost Controller to join our Brisbane team to assist in the delivery of major projects across our exciting projects portfolio.

 

This role will require someone with experience in a project environment to hit the ground running, providing insightful information to guide proactive decisions driving the business to achieve the planned outcomes.

 

About the role

 

  • Responsible for budgets and forecasting.
  • Overseeing actual project costs; continuous process of tracking, measuring, and recording expenses against the approved budget and cost baseline.
  • Accountable for expenses, cost management and forecasting.
  • Data Analysis, Formulas.
  • Act as an interface business and administration staff.
  • Involvement in compliance programs including regulations and cost control policies.
  • Maintain records as required regarding project progress, costs and tracking of change orders.
  • Responsible to ensure accuracy of client billing and invoicing.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or Engineering. 
  • Proven experience as a Cost Controller in a project environment.
  • Experience of Oracle, Ecosys or other similar project software’s.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to think strategically while identifying problems and developing creative solutions 
  • Possess a working knowledge of various cost control computer software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.
  • Must possess the desire to work as a part of a team and work with others to accomplish a common goal.
