We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Project Deputy HSE Manager.
About the role
• Provide advice, strategies, and problem-solving support to project personnel on all health and safety matters to help achieve project HSE performance targets and KPIs;
• Ensure that all incidents are recorded in the Ausenco incident reporting data base and timeless informed following Ausenco reporting escalation matrix;
• Ensure that all incidents are correctly classified, investigated and corrective actions and lessons learned are developed, closed on time and shared within the Ausenco organization;
• Develop and implement site-specific health and safety strategies, policies, standards, procedures and objectives, sustaining compliance with legal, client and Ausenco corporate requirements;
• Together with project and construction management, implement and sustain the Ausenco health and safety policy, safety management plan and standards;
• Review and approve contractor’s safety & Health management plans and safe operating procedures to ensure that controls are in place to achieve the lowest acceptable risk to eliminated or control the risks associated with the tasks;
• Lead, facilitate and implement project hazard analysis and risk assessment process across all project disciplines.
About you
• Bachelor's degree in a field related to Occupational Health and Safety;
• CRSP accreditation will be highly regarded;
• 10 - 15 years of experience in health and safety, with at least ten years on site experience on major projects;
• Previous emergency response experience;
• A passion for continual improvement of project health and safety performance;
• Demonstrated ability to improve contractor safety performance & results;
• Ability to lead and motivate on site project teams in health and safety;
• Experience in incident investigation;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• A high level of computer and organizational skills.
