About the role

  • Partner with the VP, Proposals to execute the regional proposals strategy, enhancing team capability, proposal quality, resource utilization, and delivery efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the South America Proposals team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage proposal priorities, resources, and workload across the region, ensuring compliance with Ausenco's proposal processes, governance, and quality standards.
  • Partner with Business Development, Operations, and Technical leaders to support capture planning, win strategies, and strategic pursuits.
  • Lead and support high-value, complex proposals, collaborating across regions, business lines, and joint ventures.
  • Develop compelling, client-focused proposals by translating technical solutions into clear and differentiated value propositions.
  • Conduct client, competitor, and market research to strengthen pursuit strategies and competitive positioning.
  • Maintain and enhance proposal resources, templates, project descriptions, résumés, and supporting materials.
  • Monitor proposal performance, including pipeline, resource capacity, proposal quality, win rates, and team utilization.
  • Promote Ausenco's values, collaboration, and commitment to excellence.

About you

  • 10+ years of experience in proposal management, pursuit management, business development support, project delivery, or a related professional services environment.
  • Proven experience leading high-performing teams and managing complex proposals within engineering, EPCM, mining, energy, infrastructure, or consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent qualification is an asset.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Solid business acumen with experience in capture planning, win strategy development, and client-focused positioning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish; Portuguese is an asset.
  • Strong collaboration, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to work across cultures and geographies.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality results through continuous improvement.
