Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a HSE Manager to join our HSE Team in São Paulo.
About the role:
Develop and execute the Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) plan specific to the project, considering the inherent risks of the industrial project.
Conduct detailed risk analyses for construction activities, renovations, and modifications in existing plants.
Coordinate internal HSE audits, ensuring compliance with local legislation, applicable national or international standards, and corporate policies.
Manage the technical occupational safety team, promoting continuous training and capacity building.
Act as a liaison between the project and regulatory agencies, local communities, and internal and external stakeholders.
Monitor HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring root cause identification and dissemination of lessons learned.
Promote awareness and engagement campaigns on health and safety.
About you:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering
Proven experience in Greenfield and/or Brownfield projects, preferably in industrial sectors such as mining, steel, oil & gas, energy, or chemical.
In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards (NRs), environmental legislation, and integrated management practices.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills in complex and multidisciplinary environments.
Note on the nature of the contract:
This is a permanent position, initially assigned to a strategic project with an expected duration of approximately two years. While the initial assignment is directly related to this project, there is a possibility of extension or reassignment to other future initiatives, depending on company needs and the professional’s performance.
