Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a HSE Technician, Senior to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in São Miguel Paulista- SP.

About the role: 

  • Perform on-site safety inspections, identifying hazards, assessing operational risks, and recommending corrective and preventive actions with a focus on effective control.
  • Monitor and authorize critical activities (work at height, confined spaces, excavations, hazardous energy, load handling, and others), ensuring compliance with HSE procedures and applicable regulations.
  • Participate in the preparation, validation, and review of Preliminary Risk Analyses (PRA), Work Permits (WP), and other operational control documents.
  • Conduct training sessions, onboarding, Daily Safety Dialogues (DSD), and other awareness campaigns, promoting a strong safety culture and engagement among in-house and contractor teams.
  • Support investigations of incidents, deviations, and near misses, contributing to root cause identification and implementation of systemic improvement actions.
  • Inspect and control the use of PPE and collective protective equipment (CPE), ensuring proper specification, maintenance, and compliance with protection requirements.
  • Maintain updated HSE records and indicators, supporting overall project performance management.
  • Interface with engineering, operations, and contractor teams, reinforcing safety guidelines and ensuring technical alignment across work fronts.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory Standards, corporate policies, contractual scope, and applicable legal requirements for the project.
  • Support the implementation of HSE systems and programs, contributing to the maturity and performance of safety practices within the project.

About you:

  • Completed Technical Degree in Occupational Safety.
  • Active registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE).
  • Proven experience in Greenfield and Brownfield projects or medium to large-scale industrial construction projects.
  • Solid knowledge of the main applicable Regulatory Standards (NR-18, NR-33, NR-35, NR-10, among others).
  • Experience in operations classified as Risk Level 4, working in accident prevention and supporting the control of critical risks.
  • Ability to work on-site, with a proactive attitude, sense of urgency, attention to detail, and clear technical communication skills.

Note on the nature of the contract:
This is a permanent position, initially assigned to a strategic project with an expected duration of approximately two years. While the initial assignment is directly related to this project, there is a possibility of extension or reassignment to other future initiatives, depending on company needs and the professional’s performance.
