Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Engineer, Senior to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Belo Horizonte office.

About the role 

  • Develop engineering documents for instrumentation and automation.
  • Work on engineering projects during the conceptual, basic, and detailed phases in the Automation, Instrumentation, and Telecommunications disciplines.
  • Prepare and verify instrumentation and automation project documents, such as: Instrument Location Layouts, P&ID instrumentation, Control and automation system configuration.
  • Interface with other disciplines, including piping, systems, process, mechanical, and electrical.
  • Analyze supplier drawings and provide technical support to construction activities.

About you 

  • +8 years’ minimum experience in a similar role with past responsibility for operations/project management in a complex department/division/organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Previous experience in engineering consultancy or professional services.
  • Previous experience in industrial instrumentation and automation, including developing and reviewing control and supervision solutions.
  • Ability to read, interpret technical documents (interconnection diagrams, instrument/I/O lists, datasheets, and automation network documentation).
  • Proficient English Level (Spanish is desirable).
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary interfaces (electrical, process, mechanical, civil, telecom) to ensure project alignment.
  • Solid knowledge of applicable standards and best practices in instrumentation, automation, telecom, and functional safety.
  • Ability to support field activities such as commissioning, testing, start‑up, calibration, and troubleshooting.
  • Software Proficiency: BIM methodology, AutoCad, Revit, NavisWorks, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Collaboration & Communication: Active listening, team-oriented, and willing to share knowledge.
  • Work Style: Hands-on, dynamic, and proactive.
  • Cross-functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of multidisciplinary environments.
