Piping Analyst

Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Piping Analyst to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the in Belo Horizonte office.

About the role

  • Develop conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering for industrial piping projects, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and procedures;
  • Prepare technical project documentation such as piping layouts, isometrics, MTO, material lists, engineering flow diagrams, supports, calculations, and reports;
  • Work with 3D modeling platforms, including AutoCAD Plant 3D and SmartPlant, to design and detail piping systems;
  • Ensure all deliverables meet company standards, procedures, and applicable codes;
  • Participate in projects within the mining, oil & gas, chemical, or petrochemical sectors.

About you 

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering development in the industrial piping field.
  • Knowledge of plant design for mining, oil & gas, chemical, or petrochemical industries.
  • Experience in preparing technical project documentation such as:
    • Piping layouts
    • Isometrics
    • Material Take-Off (MTO)
    • Bill of Materials (BOM)
    • Engineering flow diagrams
    • Pipe support drawings
    • Calculations and technical reports
  • Ensure that all developed documentation complies with the standards, procedures, and codes adopted by the company.
  • Proficiency in 3D design platforms, including AutoCAD Plant 3D and SmartPlant.
  • Familiarity with national and international standards such as:
    • AWS D1.1
    • ABNT
    • ASME/ANSI B31.3, B31.4, B31.8
    • ASME VIII Div. I, II, and III
    • API 610, API 661, API 650, API 560
    • NEMA 23, among others.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Active listening, team-oriented, and willing to share knowledge.
  • Work Style: Hands-on, dynamic, and proactive.
  • Cross-functional Knowledge: Strong understanding of multidisciplinary environments.
