Principal Pipeline Engineer

We are looking for a Lead/Principal Pipeline Engineer to support recent business growth. We are seeking people with a strong technical background that can self-execute as well as manage projects and teams. This role will be based out of our Perth Office.

 

 About the role 

  • Manage and executes specifically assigned project deliverables
  • Leads and participates in project studies and execution
  • Coordinates in projects across disciplines, business lines and offices
  • Identifies and recommends work process improvement
  • Assist with project planning and recommend improvements in the design process
  • Develop, approve and coordinate work schedules to ensure that objectives of cost, quality and time are met
  • Build client relationships and knowledge base of each client's business, organisation and objectives
  • Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships
  • Support the preparation of proposals and monitor budgets, staying within the assigned budget
  • Mentors and teach junior engineers

About you  

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering - Mechanical preferred
  • 15+ years of experience and knowledge of each phase of project delivery, OoM, PFS, FS and execution work process
  • Experience in slurry hydraulics, pumping and rheology
  • Experience in tailings pipeline detail designs and operation
  • Experience in water transfer pipelines and borefields
  • Experience in pipelines for other commodities
  • Enhanced knowledge of the Engineering ISO, AS, ANSI, API etc. standard design codes
  • Strong problem solving and organisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing engineering proposals and delivering presentations
