We are recruiting for a Project Manager within our Environmental Planning & Ecology department with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality service to clients. The ideal candidate is motivated to lead environmental impact assessments, provide regulatory and permitting support, and oversee related environmental studies while working alongside a highly skilled and collaborative team. They will have the opportunity to be mentored by industry leaders and to grow their career within an entrepreneurial organization that shares their values. In this role, you will work closely with Senior/Technical Environmental leaders, managing project coordination, timelines, deliverables, and client interactions while the senior leads provide overarching technical direction.

About the role

  • Manage environmental projects from initiation through completion, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, day-to-day logistics, and client communications.
  • Organize and oversee field programs, ensuring safety protocols, quality management, and alignment with technical instructions.
  • Report on project budgets, risks, issues, action items, and change management items; prepare updates for internal teams and clients.
  • Support with business development, proposal writing, scope development, and cost estimating.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff on project controls, coordination, and documentation.

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Planning, Biology, Natural Resource Management, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in environmental project coordination or project management, preferably within consulting, energy, or infrastructure development.
  • Strong understanding of environmental regulations and permitting pathways (federal and provincial) for renewable energy, transmission lines, ports and terminals, and mining in Western Canada.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience supporting field programs, environmental monitoring, or environmental assessments.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Ability to think independently and strategically, maintain a positive attitude, be self-motivated and employ a strong work initiative.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Salary range: $110,000 to $125,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
