We are actively expanding our talented team to support this momentum, and we’re excited to be recruiting for a Site Senior Project Engineer to join our growing Newcastle team with multiple available opportunities across our Southeastern Australia client sites.

About the role

  • Effectively manage onsite activities to ensure successful delivery of sustaining capital projects on time, to budget and in accordance with the Client’s and Ausenco’s objectives.
  • Ability to identify and develop project and contractor scopes of work, with focus on minimising operational disruption in live plant and mining environments
  • Coordinate a team of site based, contractor and technical support personnel in completing the assigned scope, including execution and commissioning
  • Managing effectively scope changes and trends – actively identify quantity, cost and time trends and management of the change process.
  • Ensure disciplined project close‑out and handover
  • Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
  • Unwavering dedication to HSE and as a representative of Ausenco

 

About you

  • Engineering degree (preferably Chemical or Mechanical discipline) from a recognised tertiary institute or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience working in mining and minerals projects, ideally mineral processing plants
  • Minimum 10 years experience including supervision of contractors and field personnel
  • Substantial exposure to project scheduling, planning, cost control, estimating and reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skill and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel to site
  • Proven experience in identifying business development opportunities to feed back to the home office
