HSE Manager

Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a HSE Manager to join our HSE Team in São Paulo.

About the role:

  • Develop and execute the Occupational Health and Safety (HSE) plan specific to the project, considering the inherent risks of the industrial project.

  • Conduct detailed risk analyses for construction activities, renovations, and modifications in existing plants.

  • Coordinate internal HSE audits, ensuring compliance with local legislation, applicable national or international standards, and corporate policies.

  • Manage the technical occupational safety team, promoting continuous training and capacity building.

  • Act as a liaison between the project and regulatory agencies, local communities, and internal and external stakeholders.

  • Monitor HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Lead incident and accident investigations, ensuring root cause identification and dissemination of lessons learned.

  • Promote awareness and engagement campaigns on health and safety.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

  • Postgraduate degree in Occupational Safety Engineering 

  • Proven experience in Greenfield and/or Brownfield projects, preferably in industrial sectors such as mining, steel, oil & gas, energy, or chemical.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards (NRs), environmental legislation, and integrated management practices.

  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills in complex and multidisciplinary environments.

  • English or Spanish are considered a plus

Note on the nature of the contract:
This is a permanent position, initially assigned to a strategic project with an expected duration of approximately two years. While the initial assignment is directly related to this project, there is a possibility of extension or reassignment to other future initiatives, depending on company needs and the professional’s performance.
