The Opportunity

We are seeking an a proactive and solutions-focused HR Advisor to join Ausenco in Brisbane. This is a true partnership role where you will move beyond compliance to help shape a high performing culture. Reporting to the Manager, People & Performance, you will act as a trusted advisor across the employee lifecycle, partnering with leaders to drive engagement and performance.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to manage your own client group across Brisbane, supported by a broader national team that values knowledge sharing, mentorship and ongoing professional development.

How you will make an impact:

In this role, you will:

  • Provided trusted advice to leaders on employee relations, performance management, and the interpretation of employment legislation, Awards and company policies.
  • Support culture and engagement initiatives, including engagement surveys, cultural initiatives, and diversity and inclusion workshops.
  • Deliver operational excellence by maintaining accurate people data and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
  • Enable talent development through onboarding, talent programs, and employee and leader development programs.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and continuous improvement, supporting key People initiatives that enhance our systems, processes and the overall employee experience.  

 

About You

We are looking for someone who can build relationships easy and navigate the grey areas of HR with confidence.

  • Qualifications: A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in a HR Advisor or Generalist role, preferably in the Engineering Services industry
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Australian employment legislation (including Fair Work Act and NES) and experience managing investigations and performance issues.
  • Strong interpersonal skills:
    • Resilient, collaborative and able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
    • High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Systems capability: Proficiency in HR systems and reporting tools.
