Our team in the US is growing. We are currently recruiting for a P6 Planner/Scheduler to join our Minerals & Metals Business line based out of our Tucson or Denver offices. This role is responsible for creating and maintaining schedule and planning curves for various studies, capital and sustaining projects from concept through to implementation, which includes establishing critical path activities, and reviewing and monitoring them to reduce or mitigate negative schedule impact. KPI’s focus on measuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to plans. Key areas include schedule adherence, resource capacity utilization, on-time delivery, and cost variances to help track progress, identify issues, and help make data-driven decisions to optimize project execution.  

About the Role 

  • Develop detailed baseline schedules using Primavera P6.

  • Establish work breakdown structures (WBS) and define project milestones. 

  • Track and update progress against the baseline schedule. 

  • Identify critical path activities and analyze schedule delays. 

  • Liaise with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate inputs into the master schedule. 

  • Attend project meetings and provide scheduling updates. 

  • Generate periodic progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly). 

  • Highlight deviations and provide recommendations for corrective actions. 

  • Work with project managers and department heads to forecast labor, equipment, and material requirements. 

  • Analyze potential risks and their impact on the schedule. 

  • Update schedules to reflect changes in scope or strategy. 

  • Ensure adherence to client specifications, industry standards, and company procedures. 

  About You 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field. 

  • 8-10 years of experience with project planning/scheduling specifically for studies and project execution within EPCM or large projects, ideally within the mining, minerals and engineering industry. 

  • Experience with large-scale, multidisciplinary projects. 

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 is must. 

  • Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), CPM scheduling, and delay analysis. 

  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (PMI, AACE, etc.) 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
