You'll play a key role in critical project phases, from Basic Engineering and Detailed Engineering to Construction, gaining hands-on experience across a variety of commodities. We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our team.

About the role

  • Effectively manage activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time, to budget and in accordance with Ausenco’s objectives.
  • Ensure that the project runs according to project plans with appropriately skilled staff are available at the required times to complete tasks.
  • Manage the work in accordance with the project schedule and the project budget.
  • Managing effectively scope changes and trends – actively identify quantity, cost and time trends and management of the change process.
  • Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
  • Travel to site as required.
  • Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve deadlines.

About you

  • Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized tertiary institute.
  • Ideally 2-5 years of experience working in mining and minerals studies and/or projects.
  • Substantial exposure to project scheduling, planning, cost control, estimating and reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • EPCM/EPC experience including supervision of contractors and field personnel will be looked upon favorably but not essential.
  • Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a zero harm environment.

Salary range: $80,000 - $112,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
