We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Project HSE Manager to join our team.

About the role

  • Lead and champion health and safety across the project, ensuring safety is integrated into planning, decision making, and execution in line with Ausenco’s value of Safety in all we do.
  • Partner closely with project and construction leadership to provide proactive advice, guidance, and problem-solving support to achieve project HSE objectives and KPIs.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve site specific health and safety strategies, management plans, procedures, and standards that meet legal, client, and Ausenco requirements.
  • Drive strong contractor safety performance through effective review, approval, and oversight of health and safety management plans and safe work procedures.
  • Lead project wide hazard identification and risk assessment processes across all disciplines, ensuring risks are eliminated or reduced to the lowest acceptable level.
  • Foster a learning focused safety culture by ensuring incidents are reported, escalated, investigated, and closed out in line with Ausenco requirements, with lessons learned shared across the organization.
  • Provide visible leadership on site through coaching, engagement, and collaboration, building capability and accountability at all levels of the project team.

About you

You are an experienced HSE professional who leads with integrity, collaboration, and a strong sense of responsibility for people and outcomes. You value practical solutions, open communication, and continuous improvement, and you are motivated by making a genuine difference on site.

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline.
  • CRSP accreditation or equivalent, highly regarded.
  • Extensive experience in health and safety, including significant site experience on major projects.
  • Demonstrated success improving contractor safety performance through partnership and accountability.
  • Experience leading emergency response activities and incident investigations.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to engage project teams, contractors, and clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.

Salary range: $140,000 - $170,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
