Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Cost Control Engineer, Intermediate to join our Minerals & Metals  Business line in the Belo Horizonte- MG office.

Mid-Level Cost Engineer responsible for leading the financial control of medium- and high-complexity projects, ensuring the accuracy of forecasts, the reliability of records, and providing technical and strategic support to project management and other stakeholders. This professional will be responsible for critically analyzing data, developing performance indicators, preparing forecasts, assessing financial risks, and recommending corrective actions to improve project performance.

About the role:

• Develop, review, and consolidate WIP Reports, Forecasts, Cash Flow statements, and performance dashboards to monitor the financial health of projects;
• Monitor costs, revenues, expenses, margins, trends, and significant variances;
• Perform detailed physical and financial analyses, identifying risks and opportunities, and proposing corrective or preventive actions;
• Lead reviews of ETC, Forecasts, and financial scenarios, supporting managerial decision-making;
• Analyze Change Orders, baseline impacts, scope revisions, and financial consequences;
• Ensure traceability, consistency, and integrity of financial and control information;
• Interface with multiple departments (engineering, planning, procurement, contracts, projects), ensuring alignment between physical progress and financial performance;
• Support internal and external audits by preparing and consolidating required documentation and analyses;
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of cost control processes, tools, and routines.

About you:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or related fields);
• Proven prior experience in cost control and financial planning of projects;
• Strong knowledge of project management concepts, physical progress measurement, S-curves, Earned Value Management (EVM), and forecasting;
• Experience in preparing executive reports and dashboards for managerial and executive levels;
• Strong analytical skills, systemic thinking, and ability to interpret complex scenarios;
• Good communication, organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to make data-driven decisions;
• Familiarity with ERPs and analytical tools (advanced Excel, Power BI, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate degree or certifications in Project Management (PMP, CAPM, MBA, etc.);
• Experience in multidisciplinary projects or integrated engineering environments;

• Previous experience in large industrial projects (mining, oil and gas, energy, etc.);
• English and Spanish proficiency for interaction with global teams.
