We’re seeking a Director of Marketing to drive integrated strategies across North America, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to support business priorities and growth. This is a hands-on role within a small team, responsible for delivering high-quality marketing initiatives that strengthen brand positioning, enhance market presence, and generate measurable outcomes. This role can be based in Toronto or Vancouver. 

You will shape and execute content, digital, and communications strategies grounded in strong marketing fundamentals, while mentoring and supporting a lean team. With a pragmatic, roll-up-your-sleeves approach, you balance strategic thinking with execution, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Success in this role requires strong stakeholder engagement, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across all levels, combined with a collaborative mindset and a focus on quality, consistency, and results.

About the role

Marketing Strategy & Execution

  • Lead development and execution of integrated marketing strategies and campaigns across North America (Canada, US, Mexico)
  • Plan and oversee regional marketing programs, including thought leadership and digital/social strategies
  • Manage relationships with industry bodies, trade media, and event partners to drive brand visibility
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing initiatives with corporate objectives
  • Develop and manage regional marketing budgets

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders (Presidents, VPs, business line heads)
  • Influence and collaborate across teams and functions
  • Manage external partners including agencies, media, and industry associations

Content & Thought Leadership

  • Develop and execute targeted content strategies to support brand positioning
  • Lead advertising and promotional initiatives across multiple channels
  • Monitor performance and optimize marketing activities
  • Ensure brand consistency and compliance across all outputs

Events & Industry Presence

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client forums
  • Identify and secure speaking and thought leadership opportunities
  • Plan and execute corporate and client events
  • Evaluate event effectiveness and inform future strategy

Digital & Social Media

  • Lead regional digital marketing strategy aligned with global priorities
  • Enhance digital experience and performance
  • Grow and manage social media presence to increase brand awareness

People Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the regional marketing team
  • Drive performance management, talent development, and hiring

Market Insights

  • Conduct market research and stay current on industry and marketing trends
  • Provide insights and recommendations to inform strategy

 

About You

You bring deep knowledge of the mining and metals industry, paired with strong critical thinking and a proactive, results-driven approach. You deliver with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • University degree in Marketing, Communications or similar discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in similar marketing leadership role
  • Experience working across a global organization with the ability to manage and maintain strong relationships with senior level stakeholders
  • Experience in mining services or a B2B industry is highly desirable
  • Experience successfully managing teams and developing people, marketing strategy development, and managing budgets
  • Strong understanding of marketing communications principles
  • Strong understanding of social media and digital tools and how to effectively incorporate into advertising and branding activities
  • Strong communications skills, with the ability to convey the right level of information depending on the audience
  • Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines
  • Strong creative, strategic and analytical skills
  • Self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and extremely detail oriented
  • Can work well independently, but also a strong team player

Salary range: $155,000 - $175,000 annually

Salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
