We are looking an energetic and enthusiastic person for the role of Document Controller for our office in Vancouver.

About the role

  • Provide project support in document management for incoming and outgoing deliverables including vendor data
  • Coordinate multi-office and work-sharing information in a timely and efficient manner
  • Coordinate the distribution of duties within the document control team
  • Effectively interface with the client document control team
  • Track, transmit, and accurately file electronic engineering documents, drawings and correspondence via Ausenco’s document management system
  • Ensure that company and client procedures and standards are adhered to in processing engineering documents, drawings and vendor data
  • Conduct document searches and generate various reports
  • Update and maintain the project document control plans
  • Actively participate in project meetings and anticipate information management needs
  • Actively plan for archiving and close out of all deliverables and documentation

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project document control on heavy industrial or mining projects.
  • Preferably a diploma/certificate in business or office management
  • Knowledge of vendor database operation and practical knowledge of Internet-based document control databases – SharePoint, SDX, Aconex and Excel preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
  • Ability to coordinate and delegate duties and manage time effectively
  • Strong formatting and editing skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong computer skills in MS Office, Viso and Adobe
  • Ability to provide administrative support for a variety of personalities
  • Takes initiative to resolve a range of administrative problems and inquiries quickly

Salary range: $74,000 - $94,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
