Our team in Brazil is growing, and we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer, Senior to join our Global Consulting business line in our Belo Horizonte office.

 

About the role

The Electrical Engineer, Senior will play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of electrical distribution projects for utility clients in Brazil, while also supporting international projects, including utility programs in Canada:

  • Develop engineering designs for overhead and underground electrical distribution systems.
  • Prepare design drawings, construction packages, equipment specifications, and material take-offs.
  • Perform engineering calculations related to conductor sizing, equipment loading, voltage drop, reliability, and constructability.
  • Conduct technical assessments, feasibility evaluations, and engineering studies for utility infrastructure projects.
  • Review field survey information, GIS data, and as-built records to support engineering designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, project managers, and utility clients to support successful project delivery.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to optimize project outcomes.
  • Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, construction work packages, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with utility standards, applicable codes, and client specifications.

 

About you

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • >5 years of experience in electrical distribution engineering, utility design, power systems engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience with overhead and/or underground distribution systems.
  • Experience supporting utility, infrastructure, or power delivery projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and utility engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with distribution design methodologies, utility construction standards, and engineering best practices.
  • Experience with SPIDAcalc, AutoCAD, GIS platforms, or similar engineering software is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a collaborative and multicultural environment.
  • Fluent Portuguese and intermediate to advanced English.
  • Registration with CREA or eligibility for registration is considered an asset.
