  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and documents, ensuring compliance with design standards and installation codes.
  • Participate in formal engineering processes and site investigations for both front-end planning and detailed engineering phases.
  • Interface with other disciplines (structural, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure integration of requirements in civil drawings.
  • Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications, and feedback while maintaining consistent design drafting standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, and sub-consultants to expedite design completion.
  • Develop and review design work within a small civil/structural design team for medium-sized projects.
  • Prepare civil design estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Review and check civil engineering sketches and drawings from designers and drafters.
  • Mentor junior civil designers and drafters, to help provide on-the-job training for professional development.

About You

  • A Diploma in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized college is essential to kickstart your career with us.
  • We’re looking for someone with 8 to 12 years of experience in civil design and drafting to bring valuable insights to our projects.
  • Being proficient in AutoCAD 2D drafting is a must, as it’s a key tool in our design process.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and design is also essential, helping us create detailed and accurate models.
  • While not mandatory, having experience in construction or contract administration would be a great asset to our team.
  • We value collaboration, so a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is crucial.
  • If you have experience in structural and architectural design, that would be a fantastic addition to your skill set.
  • Extensive experience with MicroStation and OpenRoads software for design and drafting will definitely set you apart.
