Our team Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in our Vancouver or Burnaby office.

About the Role

• Assist in maintaining the trial balances of approximately 16 active entities in 3 countries.
• Prepare and process complex month end & year end journals.
• Prepare and/or review balance sheet reconciliations and work concurrently with Ausenco’s Shared Service Centre to clear outstanding items in a timely manner and provide additional comments for the reviewer.
• Prepare payment requisitions for office rents and maintain the lease commitment schedule.
• Prepare/review monthly GST, PST, and sales use tax returns.
• Assist with audit inquiries.
• Assist with tax compliance matters.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative projects as assigned

About you 

• Working towards your CPA designation.
• 2-3 years of general/full cycle accounting with AR experience preferred.
• Experience working in a transactional services team within a professional services environment.
• A strong and effective communicator.
• Commitment to excellence in work output and customer service.
• Ability to complete complex month-end journal entries.
• Ability to deliver quality, detail-oriented output under pressure with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy, including experience in word processing, spreadsheets, and accounting software.
• Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation.

Salary range: $70,000 - $85,000

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
