Our team in Brazil is growing. We are currently recruiting for a Geoprocessing Analyst position to join our Global Consulting Business line in the Belo Horizonte office.

About the role:

We are seeking a professional with experience in geoprocessing, spatial analysis, GIS management, and environmental assessment. The ideal candidate will have intermediate proficiency in ArcGIS and AutoCAD to input, process, analyze, and effectively present spatial data. Additional expertise in web mapping, data management, drone operations including pre- and post-processing, and knowledge of standards and best practices is required. You should also have experience across all phases of a data-driven project lifecycle, from data capture to delivery to end users. This role involves significant production work focused on data management, cartography, and team coordination, requiring excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization:
  • Deliver high-quality GIS (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro) and CAD (AutoCAD) outputs within budget and deadlines.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external clients to meet daily data needs, focusing on managing large datasets in ESRI environments.
  • Assist in designing and developing custom tools across platforms to optimize data management processes.
  • Support integration and development of geoprocessing standards and workflows.
  • Prepare reports for environmental licensing and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and produce basic and thematic cartography using GIS and CAD software.
  • Develop spatial databases, including digitizing, conversion, analysis, maintenance, and distribution across platforms.
  • Perform spatial analysis and modeling of environmental and social themes such as hydrography, climate, landscape, physical risk, accessibility, and population dynamics.
  • Define project scope, clarify expectations, and negotiate timelines for mapping, data generation, and spatial analysis.
  • Maintain documentation of standards, workflows, and metadata in compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to geomatics software and hardware.
  • Perform other geomatics/geoprocessing-related tasks as needed.

About you:

  • Over 3 years of experience in consulting or related fields.
  • Background as Environmental Engineer, Geographer, Surveyor, Geomatics Specialist, or in Geoprocessing.
  • Degree (or equivalent technical qualification) in GIS or a related geomatics/geoprocessing discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using GIS and CAD tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in ArcGIS.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD 2D and 3D.
  • Knowledge of remote sensing and image processing software for satellite and multispectral data.
  • Strong understanding of CAD and GIS environments, especially ESRI ArcGIS products and AutoCAD applications.
  • Knowledge of SDE, relational datasets, Python, JavaScript, and data management is an asset.
  • Solid cartographic skills in ESRI ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro with at least 3 years of practical experience.
  • Experience with UAV (drones) and photogrammetric processing (optional).
  • Advanced English (mandatory).
