We are currently recruiting for an Intermediate Civil Designer to join our Minerals and Metals Business line in the Tucson office.

About the Role

• Prepare 3D civil/earthwork models and 2D civil drawings (profiles sections, details) for industrial and mining projects. Specific tasks include site plan, grading and bulk earthwork, drainage, roads, parking lots, sewage collection, water distribution, and stormwater management.
• Assist with redlines/revisions for in-progress and completed designs.

• Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure civil drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.
• Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards.
• Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion.

About You

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Design and Drafting Technology from a recognized collage.

• 4-9 years’ experience in civil design and drafting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D drafting is a must. 
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D modeling and design is a must. 
• Experience in construction/contract administration is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must
• Structural and architectural design experience will be an asset.
