Our team is growing; we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our team in our Brisbane office.
About the role
Be a key Contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
The ability to deliver technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes, and best practice standards.
Prepare technical reports related to design issues.
Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion into the project specific execution plan
Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary
Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
Ensure that company approved design tools, software, relevant codes and standards to be used on the project
About you
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering & hold RPEQ Accreditation
Experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants essential
Experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous
10+ years in an EPCM environment
Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and Client liaison skills
Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation
Strong interpersonal skills
