As a result of a growing pipeline of local and international awarded work in commodities including Uranium, Phosphate and Battery Minerals, we are currently recruiting for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our Perth team.
About the role
Working across the full life-cycle of projects from scoping studies through to execution of EPC and EPCM
Ability to deliver mechanical technical solutions in accordance with project scope, time-frames and best practice standards
Prepare technical reports related to the design
Develop a thorough understanding of the project requirements as they relate to scope, cost and schedule
Develop the mechanical work plan for inclusion in to the project specific execution plan
Be a key contributor to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies
Manage and review the Engineering Work Packages (EWP) associated with all deliverables and time-based functions to ensure that budgets and schedules are being met, and taking corrective action if necessary
Review and approve mechanical technical deliverables (specifications, datasheets, drawings, etc.)
Assist in the preparation and development of project specific procedures
About you
Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering
Extensive experience in the detailed design of mineral processing plants
Proven success in an EPCM environment
Extremely well-developed written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated leadership and client liaison skills
Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work
Excellent understanding and belief in safety principles, standards and legislation
Prior experience with copper, gold, nickel or base metals is highly advantageous
Experience of leading the mechanical discipline on a project.
