Our team is growing; we are currently recruiting for a Lead Procurement Officer to join our team in our Brisbane office.

About the role 

  • Lead a team responsible for negotiating the best value, performing strategic analysis and decision-making to support the project execution plan
  • Manage the procurement of machinery and equipment for EPCM projects, ensuring compliance to procurement schedules, tenderers lists, package lists and live project data while maintaining strict adherence to procurement procedures
  • Support project initiative by aligning with Engineering, Construction and Cost Control and providing direction in supplier evaluation, selection & management of purchasing and subcontract agreement negotiations, analytics, and pricing reviews
  • Delegate appropriate responsibilities and assignments to team members
  • Contribute to ongoing system development and improvement to mature procurement tools

About you 

  • Tertiary qualified Diploma/Degree in Business or technical field.
  • Extensive experience in the management of procurement and contracting activities in an EPC and EPCM environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and stakeholder management experience, including negotiation and relationship-building.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Proven experience in the use of Hexagon ERP system - SmartPlant Materials desired 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience in the mining and minerals sector will be highly regarded.
  • Capable of leading the negotiations with Supplier/Contractors on finalizing the terms and conditions in coordination with Finance, Legal, Tax
