We are seeking a Manager, Studies to join us in Perth, Western Australia.

As Ausenco's WA & Africa business continues its strong growth trajectory, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and influential leader to join our Perth team. Supporting a rapidly expanding business of approximately 250 professionals, you will lead a portfolio of Studies across a diverse portfolio of mining and critical minerals projects while acting as a key member of the operations leadership team.

Reporting directly to the Director, Operations - WA & Africa, this role offers a unique opportunity to operate as the Director's trusted second-in-command, providing leadership not only across study delivery, but also contributing to business planning, operational strategy, client engagement, team development and future growth initiatives. This is an outstanding opportunity for an accomplished leader looking to broaden their impact and influence within one of the industry's leading consulting and project delivery businesses.

About the role

  • Lead a team of Study Managers in the successful delivery of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies across a range of mining, minerals and critical resources projects.
  • Provide strategic leadership to multidisciplinary study teams, ensuring safe, high-quality and commercially successful project outcomes.
  • Partner with clients to develop trusted relationships and identify opportunities for future work and business growth.
  • Support the Director, Operations - WA & Africa in the leadership and management of the broader operations business.
  • Contribute to operational planning, resource management, workforce development and business improvement initiatives.
  • Drive collaboration across engineering, project delivery and operational teams to maximise project performance.
  • Mentor and develop technical and emerging leaders, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.
  • Champion Ausenco's commitment to safety, innovation, client service and operational excellence.

About you

  • 20+ years of experience across engineering, project delivery, study management and/or mining operations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering major studies within the resources sector.
  • Strong understanding of study delivery methodologies, engineering delivery and commercial management.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective client relationships at senior stakeholder levels.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and influencing skills.
  • Commercially minded with a strong focus on business performance and client outcomes.
  • Experience within mining, minerals processing, critical minerals or related industries is highly regarded.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
