Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer with experience in the mining industry to join the Team at our Burlington Office.
About the Role
Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements;
Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements;
Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Principal Draftsperson and communicating issues in a timely manner;
Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects by communicating expectations and holding project members to account for standards;
Comply with all of Ausenco corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and requirements.
About You
Advanced diploma or equivalent in mechanical engineering technology
10 years of experience in Mechanical and Materials Handling design drafting;
10 years of experience in Mechanical design and plant layout experience with crushing, grinding, materials handling, flotation, slurry, pumping, slurry agitation, particle size classification and separation would also be highly regarded;
Experience in Mechanical design and drafting of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment
Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Experience managing teams and leadership capabilities
