Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Planning Engineer, Senior (Procurement) to join our Minerals & Metals Business line São Miguel Paulista- SP.
About the role:
Design and implement the Supply Map governance model (cadence, owners, SLAs, update rules, and data quality).
Integrate Engineering (BOM/IFC), Procurement (RFQs, POs, lead times), Logistics (freight, Incoterms, tracking), Quality/Inspection, Customs, and Warehouse data.
Standardize milestones and status (RFQ issued, PO issued, manufacturer mobilized, FAT/inspection, shipment, arrival, customs clearance, delivery, ready for installation).
Develop and monitor supply KPIs: OTIF, Material Readiness Index (by workfront/critical line), % delayed POs, lead time accuracy, % mitigated critical materials, PO aging, backorder, fill rate.
Lead expediting for critical items and drive short-term recovery actions (route replanning, prioritization, alternative suppliers/logistics).
Consolidate contractor schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project), ensure schedule quality (calendars, logic, durations, resources), and maintain the integrated milestone schedule.
Monitor critical path, SPI/CPI (when applicable), S-Curve, 3–6 week lookahead, PPC (Percent Plan Complete), and progress measurement rules.
Conduct progress review meetings, validate baselines, and manage change control (claims, variations, and schedule/cost impacts).
Ensure Materials-to-Construction integration, linking material readiness to execution windows to avoid delays and work stoppages.
Build Power BI dashboards (Supply Map, contractor status, KPIs by workfront/contract, risk heatmap, S-Curve, % progress, critical milestones).
Structure reporting routines (daily/weekly/monthly) and executive reporting packages (one-page summary, traffic light status, key deviations, trends, actions, and owners).
Maintain risk and opportunity matrix, track mitigation actions, and recommend executive decisions (acceleration, replanning, re-contracting, material prioritization).
Standardize templates (schedule, S-Curve, measurement rules, status report, interface log, RFI/RFC, lessons learned).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial/Production Engineering, or related fields.
Solid experience in project planning (construction/industrial) and contractor coordination.
End-to-end Supply Chain experience (requisition to delivery), including expediting and integration with construction.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project; advanced Excel; Power BI (data modeling and DAX desirable).
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (MM/PM), Oracle, Ariba, or similar (preferred).
Knowledge of EVM (SPI/CPI), S-Curve, progress measurement rules, lookahead planning, risk management, and change control.
Ability to lead contractor routines/meetings and operate with a strong sense of urgency.
Nice to have:
PMP/CAPM certification or equivalent.
Experience in mining, energy, industrial environments, or large CAPEX projects.
Knowledge of Incoterms, customs clearance, inspection/FAT processes.
Experience with BI–ERP integrations (SAP/Ariba ↔ Power BI) and automation tools (Power Query/Power Automate).
Note on the nature of the contract:
This is a permanent position, initially assigned to a strategic project with an expected duration of approximately two years. While the initial assignment is directly related to this project, there is a possibility of extension or reassignment to other future initiatives, depending on company needs and the professional’s performance.
