Our team in Brazil is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Process Engineer, Intermediate to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the in Belo Horizonte - MG office.

About the role:

The engineer will be responsible for providing technical support in the projects of the Mineral Processing department, ensuring the quality, consistency, and robustness of engineering information and solutions. Their responsibilities include supporting the sizing and selection of process equipment; defining, analyzing, and optimizing beneficiation routes, as well as interpreting laboratory, pilot, and industrial test results. They will also be responsible for compiling, validating, and consolidating process data used across the different phases of the project. The role requires strong interaction with multidisciplinary teams and with internal and external clients, ensuring the correct application of assumptions, requirements, and deliverables within the discipline’s scope. Proven prior experience in mining projects in the Study, Conceptual Engineering, Basic Engineering, and/or Detailed Engineering phases is mandatory, including active participation in the development of mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, control philosophies, operation manuals, technical specifications, technical reports, and other documents that make up the Process scope.

About you: 

  • Metallurgical, Mining or Chemical Engineering; 
  • 5 years of experience in similar role; 
  • Experience in engineering departments for mineral processing projects (experience with base or precious metals is an asset);
  • Knowledge of unit operations in mineral processing (comminution, flotation, gravity concentration, leaching, thickening, filtration, etc.), as well as their peripherals and auxiliary systems;
  • Knowledge of process simulation tools is an asset (Bruno, JKSimMet, Metsim, etc.);
  • Ability to understand, compile, and structure complex data, transforming them into useful information for engineering and solution development;
  • Proactivity in identifying issues or deviations and the ability to communicate them constructively;
  • Collaborative work style within diverse and multicultural teams;
  • Organization, attention to detail, and commitment to the quality and standardization of discipline deliverables;
  • Analytical thinking and ease in working in dynamic, deadline-driven environments;
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external clients;
  • Proficient English Level;
  • Spanish is a plus.
