Project Engineer - Vancouver

Our team is growing and we are currently recruiting for a Project Engineer to join our Vancouver office.

 

About the role

  • Effectively manage activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project on time, to budget and in accordance with Ausenco’s objectives.
  • Ensure that the project runs according to project plans with appropriately skilled staff are available at the required times to complete tasks.
  • Manage the work in accordance the project schedule and the project budget.
  • Tracking and managing effectively the scope changes and trends – actively identify quantity, cost and time trends and management of the change process.
  • Maintain a professional and functional relationship with client personnel.
  • Unwavering dedication to safety and proven ability to achieve deadlines
  • Supporting the study manager throughout the study as needed.
  • Supervising the engineering disciplines to ensure alignment with the overall project design, objective and KPIs.
  • Documenting the tracking project progress and outcomes; including the decision register, change register, RFI log, action list, and related project controls

 

About you:

  • Engineering degree from a recognized tertiary institute.
  • Ideally 4-7 years of experience working in mining and minerals studies and/or projects.
  • Substantial exposure to project scheduling, planning, cost control, estimating and reporting.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to develop rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • EPCM/EPC experience including supervision of contractors and field personnel will be looked upon favorably but not essential.
  • Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a zero-harm environment.

Salary range: $105,000 – $130,000 annually.

 

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
