Delivering innovative, value-add consulting, project delivery, asset operations and maintenance solutions is what we do. From 21 offices in 9 countries, with projects in over 80 locations worldwide, we create sustainable outcomes for our people, clients and communities.

We’re looking for an experienced Project Lead – Document Control to join our team in South Bank.

The Rex Minerals Hillside Project is one of South Australia’s most significant emerging resource developments, set to deliver one of the nation’s largest copper concentrator plants. As the project accelerates, we’re seeking a Project Lead – Document Control to support high‑quality project delivery and ensure robust, efficient documentation processes across the team.

You’ll take ownership of maintaining accurate, compliant project documentation and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to streamline workflows and support project success.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, detail‑driven professional with strong document control experience in engineering or major project environments. If you thrive in a collaborative setting and want to contribute to a landmark Ausenco project, we’d love to hear from you.

About the role

  • Work with Project Management to tailor clear, project‑specific work instructions, workflows, and documentation processes that support efficient project delivery.
  • Confidently represent the Document Control function in client‑facing meetings, providing expert guidance and maintaining strong professional relationships.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on document management best practices, delivering training sessions and ongoing support to project teams to build capability in the nominated Document Management System (DMS).
  • Lead, guide, and support a team of project document controllers, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to established processes.
  • Work closely with external equipment vendors and contractors to ensure strict adherence to document control procedures, quality standards, and confidentiality requirements.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience leading a document control team within engineering or major EPCM project environments.
  • Strong proficiency in document management systems such as Aconex, InEight, Hexagon SDx, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong capability in developing, implementing, and maintaining document control procedures and guidelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, supported by strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Solid proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
