QA/QC Engineer – Cadia CTP Project | Orange, NSW

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to join us in Orange, NSW.

Join our team and be part of a major execution-phase mining project in regional New South Wales. You’ll play a key role across critical project phases including detailed engineering, construction and delivery, ensuring quality outcomes are achieved across all aspects of project execution. About the role 

  • Conduct inspections and quality surveillance activities across all phases of construction to ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and codes.
  • Monitor contractor quality performance and verify adherence to approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures and quality requirements.
  • Review and manage quality documentation including ITPs, test records, inspection reports and turnover dossiers.
  • Identify, document and manage non-conformances, supporting corrective and preventive actions to achieve timely close-out.
  • Liaise closely with construction, engineering, commissioning and HSE teams to ensure integrated project delivery and quality outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate quality records and provide regular reporting on quality performance and key metrics.
  •  Support internal and external audits, quality reviews and client inspections.
  • Promote a strong quality culture onsite through proactive engagement, coaching and leadership.

About you 

  • Degree qualified in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years’ experience in QA/QC roles within EPCM, mining, minerals processing, infrastructure or construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction quality standards, inspection methodologies and quality management systems.
  • Experience across civil, structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines, with multidisciplinary project exposure highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and the implementation of project quality frameworks.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong documentation, reporting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based project environment and engage with contractors and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and collaborative approach to quality management.
