We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Senior Expeditor to join our team. The Senior Expeditor is responsible for monitoring and expediting the timely delivery of materials, equipment, documentation, and vendor data for mining and minerals projects. The role supports procurement and project execution teams by ensuring suppliers meet contractual delivery commitments, project schedules, and quality requirements.

The successful candidate will have experience working within EPCM/EPC environments and will possess strong coordination, communication, and vendor management skills within the mining, minerals, and heavy industrial sectors.

About the role

• Expedite purchase orders for equipment, materials, and fabricated components required for mining and minerals projects.
• Monitor supplier progress against agreed delivery schedules and contractual milestones.
• Coordinate with vendors, procurement teams, engineering disciplines, quality teams, logistics personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods and documentation.
• Review supplier schedules, production reports, and manufacturing progress updates.
• Conduct regular follow-up with suppliers through email, phone calls, meetings, and site visits where required.
• Identify potential delays, supply chain risks, or production issues and proactively develop mitigation plans.
• Maintain accurate expediting records, logs, status reports, and progress tracking tools.
• Ensure vendor data submissions, drawings, manuals, inspection documents, and certifications are delivered in accordance with project requirements.
• Support inspection and quality surveillance activities by coordinating with QA/QC teams and third-party inspectors.
• Participate in supplier meetings, kick-off meetings, and project progress reviews.
• Coordinate shipping readiness with logistics and warehouse teams.
• Escalate critical delivery issues to procurement and project management teams as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, project requirements, and health and safety standards.

About you

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5–10 years of expediting experience within mining, minerals, heavy industrial, energy, or large EPCM/EPC projects.
• Experience expediting mechanical equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation, fabricated steel, piping, bulk materials, or construction packages.
• Familiarity with supplier manufacturing processes and procurement workflows.
• Strong understanding of project execution schedules and procurement lifecycle management.
• Experience using ERP and procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced project environments with competing priorities.

• Experience supporting mining and mineral processing projects such as concentrators, crushing systems, material handling systems, tailings facilities, or non-process infrastructure.
• Previous experience working in EPCM consulting environments.
• Exposure to international suppliers and global supply chain coordination.

• Site experience or willingness to travel to supplier facilities and project sites as required.

Salary range: $85,000 - $130,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
