Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Designer to join the Team at our Burlington Office.

About the role: 

• Drafting of steel and concrete structures in AutoCAD, and/or Smartplant,
• Prepare layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements   
• Interpret and put into design the ideas of lead designers and engineers  
• Deliver design drafting according to required project timeframes and standards by coordinating with project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements   
• Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, communicating with the Lead Structural Engineer and communicating issues in a timely manner 
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects and devise practical and economical solutions to problems as they arise.      

About you: 

• Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology (structural or architectural)
• 10+ years of experience in structural steel and concrete design drafting   
• EPC/EPCM environment experience with mining or heavy industrial design is an asset
• Experience in Structural, steel and concrete design plant layout with crushing, grinding, materials handling and flotation is an asset
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills
• Experience managing teams and leadership capabilities
