We are seeking a Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst to join us in South Brisbane.

As a Tax Analyst/Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Global Tax Team across tax compliance, tax effect accounting and advisory activities, with a primary focus on Australian tax obligations and involvement in regional and global initiatives.

You will help drive the effective management of tax risk, deliver accurate and timely tax reporting outcomes, and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable tax laws, governance standards and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

About the role

  • Prepare and support Australian tax compliance obligations (corporate tax, GST, FBT, withholding tax)
  • Coordinate with finance teams and external advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Assist in preparing tax calculations, provisions and reporting for statutory and group requirements.
  • Support tax effect accounting processes, including data analysis and reconciliation
  • Contribute to improving tax processes, controls and governance frameworks.
  • Provide tax advisory support on business transactions, contracts and operational activities
  • Conduct tax research and assist with technical analysis across Australian and global tax matters.
  • Support tax audits, reviews and regulatory enquiries, including preparation of documentation
  • Collaborate with global tax, finance, legal and commercial stakeholders across the business
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing and strong stakeholder relationships


About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Commerce (Finance), Law, or a related field.
  • CPA, CA or equivalent professional qualification completed or in progress desirable
  • Relevant technical tax knowledge, particularly in relation to Australian corporate taxation, GST, FBT and tax effect accounting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Commercially practical mindset with the ability to balance technical and business considerations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a dynamic multinational environment.
  • Familiarity with tax reporting systems, data analysis tools and Microsoft Excel desirable.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in tax compliance, tax effect accounting and/or tax reporting, preferably within a Big 4 accounting firm or multinational organisation.
  • Additional experience and demonstrated capability in managing tax compliance, tax effect accounting and stakeholder interactions may be considered for candidates being appointed at the Senior Tax Analyst level.
