Electrical Engineering Co-op

About the role:

  • Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documents under the guidance of experienced specialists
  • Prepare simple plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under guidance from senior engineers
  • Preparing proposals for new work
  • Apply mathematical calculations and basic engineering principles to solve defined problems
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining engineering and drawing lists and files
  • Work and liaise with engineers and other staff across the business in a range of engineering tasks
  • Maintain high-quality work and meet project deadlines.

About you 

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university Engineering co-op degree program
  • A strong desire to learn and an enthusiasm to grow professionally
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (with preference given to those familiar with drafting process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams), and general engineering software packages
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
