We are currently seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Intermediate Mechanical Designer to join our team.

About the role

• Prepare high level 2D and 3D models of mineral processing equipment such as belt conveyors, tanks, pumps, crushers, mills, etc.
• Under the supervision of a Senior, prepare mechanical layout, conceptual and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
• Interface with other disciplines (Structural, process, layout, mechanical, piping, electrical) to ensure mechanical drawings incorporated other discipline requirements.
• Liaise with engineers for direction, specifications and feedback.
• Maintain consistent design drafting standards across projects.

About you

• Advanced diploma or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 5-10 years relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Experience in the use of Autocad 2D and 3D, Inventor (or equivalents such as Solidworks, Solid Edge, etc).
• Experience in Mechanical Layout and design drafting of Mineral Processing Plants within a large project, multidisciplinary EPC/EPCM environment will be an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of multi-functional project teams is a must.
• Well-developed written and oral skills.
• Commitment and enthusiasm for learning.

Salary range: $85,000 - $110,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
