An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our Toronto office. We are looking for someone that is ready to provide solutions for our mining projects with a gold and base metals background with experience in studies, detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and operations will be well suited for this role.

About the Role

• Develop process deliverables including process design criteria, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, equipment sizing, mass and energy balances according to Ausenco Standards.
• Contribute to the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design by liaising with other engineering disciplines during the preparation of engineering designs and studies.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and coordinate technical issues with clients.
• Gather measurements, record observations, perform calculations and basic analysis, and prepare reports for projects and trade-off studies.
• Comply with relevant business management system (or quality) policies & procedures.
• Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organization and with clients.
• Expected to stay abreast of latest process technology developments.

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Mineral Processing, Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience with EPCM studies and projects in a consulting engineering capacity.
• 5 - 10 years of solid experience working with mineral processing combined with study delivery (scoping, pre-feasibility, feasibility, trade-offs, basic and detail engineering). Experience in detail engineering will be an asset for the successful candidate.
• Experienced with concentrator and hydrometallurgical plant design (greenfield and brownfield projects) – for a wide range of minerals and metals: copper, gold/silver and polymetallic ores.
• Experience in the field of engineering, design, construction, commissioning and operation.
• Ability to effectively translate field and engineering experience to other process staff and design.
• P. Eng registration in Ontario is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Well-developed written and oral skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and ingenuity in providing engineering solutions.

Salary range: $85,000 - $123,000 annually

Expected Salary: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as qualifications, relevant years of experience, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
