Procurement & Contracts Specialist – Tucson or Denver

Our team in the US is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Procurement & Contracts Specialist to join our Minerals & Metals Business line in the Tucson or Denver office. This role is responsible for managing the procurement process and administering contracts for materials, equipment, and services in alignment with project and company requirements. This role involves vendor evaluation, tendering, negotiation, contract drafting, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations across the entire Study and EPCM project lifecycle in Mining & Minerals industry.

 

About the Role

 

Procurement:

  • Coordinate with engineering team to establish the Package registry.
  • Develop and execute procurement plans based on project schedules and material requirements.
  • Prepare Request for Quotations (RFQs), analyze bids, and manage commercial evaluations.
  • Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contract conditions with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure timely purchase and delivery of materials, equipment, and services.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier relationships.
  • Develop and maintain vendor catalog library for the office.

 

Contract Management:

  • Coordinate with Project Engineers for scope of work and pricing schedule for all contract work packages established the project.
  • Draft, review, and manage contracts and subcontracts.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions during execution.
  • Manage contract amendments, variations, and claims in coordination with project and legal teams.
  • Maintain contract documentation and ensure audit readiness.

 

Risk and Compliance:

  • Identify procurement risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, local laws, and international trade regulations.
  • Work closely with legal, finance, and project teams to align procurement strategies with corporate governance.

 

Coordination and Reporting:

  • Coordinate with engineering, project controls, construction, and logistics teams to align procurement and contract deliverables.
  • Provide regular procurement and contract status reports to project management.
  • Support cost control and budgeting efforts through accurate forecasting and procurement tracking.

 

About You

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in procurement and contract management, preferably within the EPCM or construction sector-Mining & Minerals
  • Hands-on experience with complex contract types and global sourcing.
  • Solid understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and international trade (Incoterms)
  • Knowledge of sourcing strategies, market analysis, and vendor development
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a cross-functional team environment.
